Permit Packets from Planning and Building Services
Welcome to Planning and Building Services!!
The Departments within Planning and Building Services; Building, Planning, and Site Development, work together with Environmental Health in the review and approval of development permits. Because most development projects require permits from each of these departments, we have prepared permit packets that explain how permitting is coordinated to assure a seamless development review experience.
Each Packet (New SFR, Commercial/Multi-Family, and Residential Additions & Alterations) contains an overview and separate sections that describe each Department’s standards for development. Each section includes application forms and a list of submission materials necessary to apply for the permits for new construction, or additions & alterations.
The services provided by the Building Department are aimed at protecting the public’s safety by regulating the design, construction, materials, use and occupancy, and maintenance of buildings and structures within the unincorporated areas of Clear Creek County.
Building Department Permits
The Site Development Department and the County Engineer reviews driveway and excavation plans, issues related permits, and monitors performance for driveway construction and construction on building sites.
Environmental Health concentrates on controlling factors that impact public health and the environment around us. Locally, we oversee onsite wastewater treatment systems, protect our water sources from contamination and monitor outdoor air quality. Our counterparts at the state health department currently manage all routine and complaint inspections for food establishments, childcare facilities and schools.
