Overview Packet will explain how all of these processes fit together as you work towards your goal of developing your property and giving shape to your mountain home.
The Site Development Department is responsible for many of the permits for the initial phases of a property’s development. The Driveway Permit, Defensible Space Plan, Flood Hazard and Wetlands determination and erosion mitigation are all handled by this Department.
This packet will provide you with our standards and submittal requirements
to assist you in obtaining the required permit from the Environmental Health Department. Prior to submitting a building permit application, the Environmental Health staff will review the septic system site plan and construction drawings for conformity with the County Onsite Wastewater Treatment System (OWTS) regulations.
After all of your other permits have been issued and your construction plans and site plan have been approved by the other Departments in the Land Use Group, you will then be ready to submit for your permit to build.
