In May 2010 Clear Creek County Public and Environmental Health in cooperation with the Colorado School of Public Health surveyed businesses in Clear Creek County to assess their need for or interest in employee health and wellness programs. Worksite Wellness Programs have been shown to improve health outcomes for employees and reduce health insurance costs for businesses. The Public Health Department is currently seeking funding sources in support of a county-wide employee wellness program--its planning and development.
In the meantime, please note that several health services are available to employees and businesses through our Nursing Services and Health Education divisions. These programs may be available free or at low cost to businesses either on or off-site: - Health screenings including blood pressure, blood sugar, cardiac risk, and cholesterol
- Flu shots and vaccinations - Prevention of injuries and accidents - Health education programs including heart disease, diabetes, and tobacco use - Nutrition/weight loss education If you would like to express your interest and support of a County-wide Employee Wellness Program, please call the Health Educator at (303) 679-2386 or e-mail our staff.
