Loveland Ski Area is located on the Continental Divide just 53 miles (85km) west of Denver or 12 miles (19km) east of Silverthorne at exit 216 Interstate-70.
Slacker Half Marathon

The Slacker is the world's highest half marathon, and it’s coming up on June 24! Starting at the base of Loveland Ski Area, at an elevation of 10,630ft, runners descend to 8,400ft, for post race festivities in downtown historic Georgetown (think: ridiculous amounts of freebies, local craft beer, and live music!).
The course includes a combination of dirt and paved roads, leading participants through beautiful wetlands, natural waterfalls, stunning views of the Continental Divide, and historic mining remnants!
