Public Health decreases vaccine clinic hours to reduce waste

The Clear Creek County Health and Wellness Center is scaling back on its vaccine clinic hours to help prevent waste.

Currently, there are up to 20 doses of vaccine in one Moderna vial.  Recently,  the Health and Wellness Center was only averaging 15 people per clinic coming in for the vaccine. With so many options throughout the County to get the vaccine, the hours, and the wasted doses, Public Health came to the decision to only offer the vaccine on Wednesday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Health and Wellness Center at 1969 Miner Street in Idaho Springs.

The Clinic offers Moderna, Pfizer 5-11, (no adult Pfizer) Johnson & Johnson, Flu, Tdap, Hepatits A and more.  All Childhood Immunizations 0-18 years old. Tender Age Moderna is coming soon.

No appointment needed. Find out how to pre-register here.
