Established in October of 2012, the Colorado State University (CSU) Extension Office in Clear Creek County strives to improve the quality of life for the community by providing relevant, research-based, informal educational programming. Our primary areas of focus are 4-H Positive Youth Development and Mountain Horticulture. Collaborative efforts are key to success, especially in a small mountain community such as Clear Creek, and we continue to partner with the schools, libraries, and recreation districts; local businesses; town, city and county departments; community volunteers; and other County and the State Extension offices. .
The Mapping Department manages and maintains the County Geographic Information System (GIS). The GIS allows us to visualize, question, analyze and interpret data to understand geo-spatial relationships, patterns and trends.
Special Projects Division coordinates and administers many special goals and projects initiated by the Board of County Commissioners.
The Water Resources Department provides management of the Clear Creek County Water Bank. Administration of the decreed Basin-Wide Augmentation Plan (Case No. 05CW302) enables the County to lease water to customers for land uses and improvements to promote economic development and affordable housing.
