Clear Creek Sheriff’s Deputies Shaving Heads to Benefit St. Baldrick’s

Clear Creek County Sheriff's Office Posted on March 16, 2026

This year, the CCSO is participating in a St. Baldrick’s Foundation fundraiser to help raise money for childhood cancer research. On March 17, 2026, four Clear Creek County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) deputies are shaving their heads in solidarity with kids fighting cancer. Our goal is to raise $1,500 for St. Baldrick’s “Brave the Shave” fundraising event:

 When: Tuesday, March 17
             4:00 – 6:00pm (CCSO head-shaving is 4:55pm & 5:15pm)

Where: The Wild Game
             1204 Bergen Parkway, Evergreen

What: St. Baldrick’s fundraiser. This family-friendly event includes head-shaving, fundraising activities, and dinner & drink specials (a portion of the proceeds will benefit the St. Baldrick’s Foundation).

Why: Raise money for childhood cancer research

How: Attend the event on March 17 or make a donation to the CCSO’s team page at https://www.stbaldricks.org/teams/ccso

The following Sheriff’s Office staff will have their heads shaved at the fundraising event:

  • Senior Patrol Sergeant Straley
  • Detentions Sergeant Kopsch
  • Detentions Deputy Romero
  • Detentions Deputy Watanabe

Since its inception in 1999, the St. Baldrick’s Foundation has raised more than $369M for childhood cancer research; $27M of that through head-shaving events like the one on March 17. All donations to the CCSO team page will go directly to the St. Baldrick’s Foundation.
