Clear Creek County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) Scholarship Program
Sheriff Rick Albers now makes available, each and every year, two $1,000 scholarship awards to two deserving Clear Creek County High School or college students. Monies for this program are derived, in part, from the Clear Creek Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) Educational Support Program, which consists of contributions received from the Office of the District Attorney 5th Judicial District charitable contributions program and contributions from individual citizens and businesses each year. Additionally, the County Sheriffs of Colorado (CSOC) association contributes $500 toward one of the $1,000 scholarship awarded to a deserving Clear Creek County student every odd-numbered school year.
County Sheriffs of Colorado (CSOC) Program Philosophy Statement
To carry out our commitment to the Honorary Members of the association, CSOC established a scholarship program in 1978. Since then, this effort has continued as a meaningful expression of the sheriffs’ confidence in and respect for education and training. CSOC considers this an investment in the future and believes that our membership is helping to provide deserving students with an opportunity to make a positive contribution to society as a whole. CSOC, through its honorary membership program, awards approximately thirty $500 scholarships every academic school year.
